Pre Registration / Enrollment for 26-27 School Year

Enrollment documentation will need to be presented at the District Office to start the registration process.

Documents must be original, current and have a parent name and address.

Required documentation will need to be provided in person at the District Office.

Check the District website for summer office hours and days that we are open.

Proof of Residency Documentation

All registrations must provide evidence you reside within District boundaries

Primary Proof of Residency: Provide one (1) from the list below.

Current mortgage statement, payment coupon, grant deed with parent name and current date.
Current property tax statement
Signed rental contract, lease or payment receipts
Escrow papers/construction contract with expected move in date

Secondary Proof of Residency: Provide one (1) from the list below.

Current utility bill, statement, contract ( water, gas, electric) or payment receipts
Monthly correspondence from a government agency ( ie: unemployment/benefit statement, child support, etc)
Current pay stub with parent name and address

Birth certificate or passport for age verification
Immunization record, with student's name, gender, and date of birth.
TK - 1st Grade only: Oral Health Form if first time enrolling in a California school. May be returned to the office at a later date if needed. The form must be completed by a dental professional with an exam date no more than one year prior to the first day of school.

Laptops are available at the District Office for registration during office hours:

M-F, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Summer hours vary, and will be posted on the website.

**If you are outside the Bakersfield area and need to register a student(s) due to relocating, call the Enrollment Department at 661-387-7000 for more information.

Your child will be confirmed for their grade level once all required documentation is received. Once a grade level has reached its capacity, any new enrollees will be transferred to one of our other school sites where space is available.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is the first year of a two-year kindergarten program that uses a modified kindergarten curriculum that is age and developmentally appropriate. The TK program is focused on early literacy experiences, social and emotional development, self-regulation and self-help skills, and motor skill development. TK is a bridge between preschool and kindergarten that prepares the youngest preschool students for educational success.

Children entering TK in the 2026-27 school year must be 4 (four) years old by September 1.

Kindergarten - Children entering Kindergarten in the 2026-2027 school year must be 5 (five) years old by September 1.
