WELCOME TO NORRIS EXTENDED DAY CARE (EDC)

PLEASE SELECT THE APPROPRIATE TAB BELOW FOR INFORMATION REGARDING OUR PROGRAM AND REGISTRATION.

Open Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year will begin on March 2, 2026.

Space is available on first come first served basis. If your site/grade level becomes full you will be placed

on a waitlist based on when your registration was received. You will not be charged if waitlisted.

Current School Year Registration

All new and returning EDC students must register each school year.
School sites have limited space available, if a school site becomes full, your child will be put on a waitlist. and you will be contacted when space becomes available.
Day Care will be CLOSED on Thursday, May 21, 2026. Only AM daycare will be available from 7:00-8:00 am
Please note, if you have two or more children in the AMPM program a family discount will apply to your monthly rate (excluding August and December).

Fog Delay Information

* Please note, the afternoon closing time for EDC is 5:30 PM.

AMO - Before school only, 7:00 - 8:00 am (late starts and fog delays included)
PMO - After school only, grade level dismissal time until 5:30 pm
AMPM - Before and after school, 7:00 am until 5:30 pm (late starts and fog delays included)
Drop Card - 15 drop ins, 1 card per child, 7:00 am until 5:30 pm (late starts and fog delays included) 24 hour notice required

FOG DELAYS- In the event of a fog delay, hours are 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and dismissal to 5:30 p.m.No daycare is provided for PM only students.

Students signed up to attend the AM, AMPM and Drop Card Program may attend.

Two (2) Week Notice To Withdraw From Program

Kindly be advised, if you wish to withdraw form the program, withdrawal forms must be received 2 weeks in advance. You may use the link below to provide your notice online. You may also download the "Notice of Withdrawal" form and provide the notice in writing to the at the District Office located at 6940 Calloway Drive, Bakersfield, CA, 93312.
